Daggerkit, or soon to be Daggerpaw, paced restlessly outside of the suffocated nursery, his eyes narrowed. The tom was normally not this anxious, but something was obvious bothering him. His apprentice ceremony was supposed to be held today. And it was being held up for some stupid reason due to leadership issues. Growling under his breath, he stalked out of camp, relaxing at the sounds of the forest. He headed for the WindClan border. For some reason, Daggerkit just felt relieved when the wind buffeted his dark gray pelt. He always felt at home on the WindClan border, as if something tugged him there. Although, he enjoyed ShadowClan too. The dark forest, casting shadows among the land. He truly enjoyed long nights, with a lovely summer breeze. He took a seat beside the stream that bordered their territory, smiling as he let the scent of water drift into his nostrils. This truly was the tranquil part of each and every day. No held up apprentice ceremony could disturb that.

Unsolvedpaw had been at the border looking for herbs. Some of the healing plants only grew in the shade, so she was right up against the ShadowClan border, hunting around in the mud. Perhaps she had strayed tad over the border but the bold Shaman Apprentice didn't care. She looked up to find a ShadowClan tom staring out into her territory. He seemed friendly so she padded over. The tom was about a moon younger than her with dark pelt like the wet stones she saw in RiverClan territory. "Hello," the she-cat murmured, dipping her head politely.

Daggerkit was suddenly brought out of his state of peace and his eyes flickered towards a she-cat that looked right around his age, maybe a moon older. He'd not been to a gathering yet so he didn't recognize her very well. Judging by her scent, he'd assumed she was WindClan. He had doubts, but his senses seemed to be working, and it was obvious because he was on the WindClan border. Oh Daggerkit, you're such an idiot. He thought irritatively. Sure, he was supposed to be an apprentice by now, exploring the territory and learning the clan scents, but still. He shook his head slightly to rid the annoying thoughts and to bring his attention on the she-cat whom seemed to be digging around in the mud. "Evening." The dark gray tom greeted, his green eyes sparking with interest. He'd no clue what time of day it was, being that ShadowClan territory was completely shady and not very luminous. He just assumed it was somewhere around the afternoon.

Unsolvedpaw smiled at the tom, straightening up to wash the mud from her paws. "I'm Unsolvedpaw, what's your name?" the she-cat introduced herself. She did not, however, include her rank. She didn't want the ShadowClanner to get any ideas.

"I'm Daggerpaw." The dark gray tom said. He'd thought a moment, determining whether it was right to call himself that or not. Of course it was. Afterall, his apprentice ceremony would have taken place if there were no issues with the leader. It wasn't anything personal, but it wasn't something that WindClan needed to know either. "So... what're you doing here?" He asked after a heartbeat.

"Oh, I'm looking for herbs," Unsolvedpaw replied. Hopefully the tom wouldn't connect the dots and... well, she didn't want to think about it. She was determined to have no ransom on her head that day, or any day for that matter.

"herbs...?" he questioned curiously. "why? are you shaman assistant or something?" he laughed, not even thinking about whether it would offend the she-cat or not. afterall, they were from different clans and they'd just met. first impression wasn't all that bad, anyways.

"No," Unsolvedpaw quipped, a tremor in her voice. Technically she wasn't lying, she was a Shaman Apprentice, not assistant.

"but, you're just helping out?" came another question. daggerkit wasn't normally like this, asking questions. he was very social, but.... moreso remained to himself. so it would be very strange if one of his clanmates caught him talking to a mca, and asking constant questions. shaking his head, he grinned. "for a second there, i assumed you were a shaman apprentice.. and you know, that'd be great if you were. because i have these strange painful spasms from time to time, and i was wondering about a herb that could maybe help?" he lied.

unsolvedpaw visibly flinched. "no, I am a shaman apprentice. where are the spasms generally?" she asked. the she-cat just couldn't overcome her helpful nature. hopefully nothing bad would happen.

"around my shoulder area." the tom couldn't help himself! though, partly, it was true because most of the time he was pretty sore. though, he didn't do much... BECAUSE HE WASN'T A FRICKING APPRENTICE YET!

Unsolvedpaw nodded and padded over. The she-cat rested on her haunches, massaging the area with one paw to check for tension.

daggerkit hadn't expected this. he turned his head to look at the she-cat, quite puzzled at the fact that the shaman apprentice would go over borders to massage his sore muscles. he couldn't help but tense up, not on purpose, but because he wasn't used to this kind of attention.

Unsolvedpaw kept rubbing for a few moments. "Does that feel better?" she asked, stepping back over the border.

he nodded. "yes, actually, it does. thank you.." the dark gray tom had no idea what to say, really. he was still quite surprised. "so, i don't suppose you'd be interested in playing a game with me sometime, hmm?" he suddenly asked, thinking of how he didn't really get to have a whole lot of fun often, and somehow he had the idea that unsolvedpaw didn't either. he totally ignored the fact that they were from different clans. in his mind, boundaries were clearly imaginary lines that were made up of cat urine. besides, shamans had their own code, didn't they?
