countypaw was bored and had nothing to do? is that okay? alright. "listen up!" she called, her red tabby pelt glistening with tiny water droplets. she went for a swim for any chance of joy. "we are going to play a game!" her voice raised at the top of her lungs. "it's called football! you wrap these around your waist, then we play!" countypaw nudged a bundle of black bands with yellow and red ribbons tied to them. her white muzzle picked out a yellow band and she whipped around to fasten it around her waist. "we need a team captain for the red team, i'll take up yellow." she may or may not have stolen these toys from twolegs but fun was fun. she was seen 'em play it so she must now every rule, right? she chose a nice tennis ball rather than a bulky football that was impossible for a feline to grasp. "hurry it up!" she called once more, pacing back and forth for players to arrive.

sketchpaw was peacefully napping in his warm, cozy moss bed inclosed in a den of reeds. he was having a great dream, and was not very happy to have the voice of countrypaw dragging him back into the waking world. he blinked the sleep out of his odd colored eyes and sat up in his nest. grumpily, he gave his gray tabby chest fura few licks to make himself look presentable, and stormed out of the den. with his ears floded back against his skull, and a big frown perched upon his maw, he stomped over to her. "thanks for waking me up," he grumbled in annoyance. he sucked in a deep breath so he could tell off the apprentice for what a horrible crime she had commited, before he realized what she was saying.
his ears pricked up and his eyes widened. "oh, that's cool. can I play?" he asked her, embarrassment sweeping over him. he felt bad about being all grumbly.

"you're welcome" countypaw flashed a smile, so sketchpaw knew she wasn't upset. this horrible crime was quite entertaining. "of course you can play, i need a team captain for red." she meowed, her words muffled by the red ribbon already stuffed in her maw. "here." not even waiting for an acceptance of role of red's team captain. "me against you." the same smile appeared again. "where is everyone? i want to get this started." countypaw sighed, this was taking forever. "LET'S GO!" she called, her voice sounding throughout camp.

a grin swept across the gray tabby's maw, and he shrugged. "sure, sounds fun." he meowed. the only problem was . . . he didn't know how to play. "um, I have a question," he began, shuffling his paws In the dirt. |

"yes?" countypaw asked, much like a teacher would. this was good, they had captains for each team. countypaw puffed out her white chest, where was everyone. she was trying to play a game! now this moron had a question. it's probably something like 'how do we play?' yeah, mosy likely. why don't people have riverclan characters? her red tabby fur was still a bit damp, but that's alright.

"alright, listen up." countypaw began, as if she was talking to a whole group. she paced back and forth on white paws. "you want to get the ball and run to your side, and across this line." she scratched a line in the grass. "other players of the other team can take the ball from you and run to their side. you may pass the ball to other players of your team, and blah blah blah." she explained rather quick but it worked. "that's the basic gist of it. NOW I WANT A CLEAN GAME, NO CLAWS, NO TEETH." raising her voice on the last sentence.

this would be fun. approaching the two riverclanners, a friendly smile painted myrtlebeach's features. the seal point tom extended both his chocolate hind legs, cerulean optics glinting eagerly. "i'll be the leader of the red team," the point called, focusing on the bands. where had countypaw gotten them anyway? they didn't grow on trees, but twolegs were a possibility......
myrtle reached forward to delicately pick out a bright red band, awkwardly wrapping it around his slim waist. dodging to avoid countypaw's water droplets, the feline stood at the ready, grinning at both countypaw and sketchpaw. now all they needed were a few more players.

"hello, myrtlebeach!" countypaw greeted the newcomer. "uh.. i beleive we have a captain for red." she smiled a bit, hoping the seal point would not be upset. "i hope you heard how to play, oh!" she had forgotten a very important rule! "the bands, not only mark your team, if a member of the opposing team pulls off one of the ribbons, you must give up the ball to the other team."

myrtlebeach nodded. of course he wasn't angry at this. the point assumed that sketchpaw was the leader of the red team, as he had arrived before him. fluidly sinking to his haunches, he supposed that he would have to run fast enough so the yellow team members wouldn't catch up to him.

Timepaw walked up, his small figure stopping to observe the gathered Riverclanners. "What are you playing?" He asked, smiling at his clanmates. He was in a pretty good mood today, and why not play a game?
