[yes, yes, I know it's February, but where I live, it's snowing buckets. so I felt inspired to make this!]
a small white kitten sat in the middle of skyclan camp, pondering things. she was still in a somewhat state of shock from saffronstar's death. she had no idea that his reign would be over so soon; she assumed that he would pull through and help pull his clan from the ashes and make them rise to the top. she pushed that thought out of her mind, and decided to focus on herbs. herbs were her favorite thing to think about. she just simply loved the idea of helping others, and the fact that simple plants could cure so many things. but today, snowpaw wasn't In the mood to think about vegetation; she wanted to play.
"hello? w-would anyone want to build a snowman with me?" she called, her voice wavering. the pretty white she-cat anxiously shifted the light blue flower perched upon her head. she wasn't the biggest fan of being super social, but it was a mandatory skill to have, so snowpaw decided to get a head start on that.

the cream tabby sighed, a long exaggerated sigh. "what's wrong with you, snowkit?" traffickit was now standing by the white she-kit. "you have to say it like this." the energetic kit cleared her throat. "HEY! SNOWKIT WANTS TO BUILD A SNOWMAN!" traffickit yelled at the top of her lungs. the death of saffronstar did not hurt her too much. the former leader wasn't very close to her, and everestsnow was always her favorite. "here we go, let's get started."

Everestsnow padded out of his den, grumbling, awakened by the sound of the two kits playing. However as the grey tom watched, a smile spread across his maw. Perhaps it was the first time he'd smiled since Saffronstar's death. Ah, a young kit's innocence. Was there anything more pleasing to the mind?
The dark grey tom lumbered across the snowy terrain, ducking down to scoop of a loose ball of slush with his paw. When he was young he used to do things like this all the time. The snowball hurled through the air, landing with a "thump" to the right of Traffickit.

traffickit's expression was priceless. "um..." the cream kit mewed. she picked up her paw and motioned it in a circular formation over the lump of snow. "excuse me, mr everestsnow but this is snowman time." the she-kit joked. she knew she should be a bit more reserved and respectful toward the new leader, but that 'was not her thing.'

Everestsnow shook his head. "Not anymore," he replied playfully. It seemed he was the only one to look at the title of the thread. The leader chucked another snowball at Traffickit and ducked behind a tree to avoid retaliation.

i guess the words, quote "do oyu want to build a snowman ?" caught traffickit off-guard. during this thought process the white had splashed in the cream face of traffickit. "oh, it's on now, everestsnow!" after she shook herself off the kit swooped up a paw full of snow and aimed to hit the future leader. she rotated her body so she could aim for the grey figure. she swung but it was up to piney to decide if she hit him or not.

Everestsnow dodged to the side, the snowball "whiffing" past his ear like a white comet. He kicked out with his hind legs, hoping to send up a spray of wet powder in the kitten's face.

traffickit scrambled to see anything other than white. she glared at the leader with a 'you're gonna get it now' kind of look. she flicked the remains of snow off her ears and tried to devise a plan to blow everestsnow's mind. eh, she couldn't think of anything. she tossed a snowball, aiming to hit the leader in the face or something.

Again Everestsnow ducked and this time the throw fell short and instead of whizzing over his head, the slushy snowball landed on his back. He shook it off before the damp could drip through his course grey fur. The tom then proceeded to jump into the tree above the two cats and shook snow the snow. Whether the kitten got out of there in time or not was up to her.

"you're gonna get it, everestsnow!" she meowed playfully. a snowball whizzed from her paw in the direction of the leader. hopefully her bad aim would cut her some slack.

Everestsnow chuckled as the snowball burst on the tree's bark beside him. The tree's foliage should protect him.

alarmed by the sudden change of atmosphere, snowkit's light blue eyes widened and she shrunk to the ground. this wasn't turning out the way she'd expected! she wanted to peacefully pack snow together to build an elegant snow person, but obviously her roleplayer wanted the opposite because of what she put on the title. cautiously, snowkit crept forward to observe the scene. it appears that the pair was throwing snowballs at each other. she surprised her self; she realized that it looked like fun.
a small smile grew upon the snowy white kitten's face, and she balled up a bit of snow. she sat up and hurled it at traffickit, giggling ever so slightly. |

traffickit saw that snowkit had moved a bit. then all the sudden there was snow in her face, she was falling back into the heap everestsnow dropped on her. she let out a giggle as well. "that's the spirit, snowkit!" the cream kit meowed.
