a tawny lioness approached the riverclan border. piney had just rewatched the lion king last night so she had promptly bought a lion. good times. the lioness waited for someone to show up.

Rainbowgleam glided over the ground, her fur shining. She was alone, simply looking around the territory. Then she smelled it. A scent she had never smelled before. She raced towards the border and froze. Her icy blue eyes were fixed on the intruder. A lioness. She quickly adjusted her posture before addressing the newcomer. "You are trespassing on RiverClan territory," she meowed, her voice loud and clear as it stretched across the border, "please state your name and business."

sebby, the one moon old tiger cub whom always snuck out of camp, sniffed around a clump of ferns, almost immediately scenting the strange female. he peered around from his hiding spot and recognized rainbowgleam and some unfamiliar lioness. the brave young cub bolted from the clump of ferns and across to stand beside rainbowgleam. sebastian stared up at the newcomer fearlessly, his amber oculars challenging. "you're on our territory!" the cub growled, trying to sound menacing. |

Rosepaw padded up to mentor, but realizing the serious situation right away, she kept quiet and let Rainbowgleam do the talking.

maplecandy reared up to her full height, towering over everyone in the clearing as the only fully grown big cat. "i believe you'll find i am not on your territory but at the edge of your territory. that is what your scent-makers indicate anyway," the lioness rumbled, hazel eyes narrowing. she would not let them accuse her of trespassing, as she had been very politely waiting at the border.

Timepaw had been simply walking, thinking about patrolling the borders, when a strange scent hit his nose, and he heard noise. Arriving quickly at the seen, he stepped forward. The tom was smaller than Rainbowgleam, and much smaller than the lioness, but he spoke anyway, and luckily had had been able to catch the lioness' last words. "That is correct, you are not trespassing, however, it seems you came on purpose" Timepaw said, a curious glint in his eye.

sebby looked confound. he just realized how wrong he was of accusing the lioness of trespassing. though, his pride didn't let it go away. instead, he argued, "you are nearly on the border, for not being on our territory." |

the spirited lioness ignored the cub. "thank you. yes, i am joining, but that does not mean your warriors can accuse me of something i did not do," she replied cooly though politely.

The tom didn't say anything to Sebastian, but continued to speak to the lioness. "I see, if you wish to join then all you have to do is swear your loyalty to Riverclan." He said, watching joiner.

Rosepaw watched the exchange with interest. The lioness seemed nice enough, and obviously respected scent markers. Rosepaw didn't say anything though.

"i swear my loyalty to riverclan," the lioness replied calmly. it was good to have a place to call home. despite the oversight of the warriors, she still found this to be an enjoyable place to live.
