Hiddenbranch raced through the trees to camp. When he reached it, he was gasping for air. "Whisper- Rosepaw- forest- badger- come!" He managed.
Whisper raced through the forest behind Hiddenbranch. He had recently been promoted to advisor, so her trust in him had grown even more. She soon saw Chrysanthemum crouching over... was that Rosepaw?

Chrysanthemum looked up as whisper approached the scene. "A badger killed her, but it's gone now."

Whisper dipped her head sadly to the young she-cat's mentor. "We should bring her back to camp," she murmured softly.
Hiddenbranch nodded and gently lifted the apprentice's scruff in his jaws, glancing at the others, waiting for them to help him.
