wait could whistlepaw actually be apprentice for now then go to royal guard later (because in my mind she is very stubborn and wouldn't want to be possessed) and then milkpaw could be heir because she is really naive and wouldn't know what she was actually going to be doing?

MILKPAW WILL THINK THAT SHE IS JUST BEING TRAINED SPECIALLY FOR A RANDOM REASON AND THEN SHE WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH SOMEONE AND THEN THEY'LL GET IN A FIGHT AND THEN SHE'LL SAY 'YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS CUZ I'M GETTING SPECIAL TRAINING' AND THEN HER CRUSH WILL TELL HER WHAT IS ACTUALLY HAPPENING AND THEN SHE'LL FREAK OUT AND ATTEMPT TO COMMIT SUICIDE BUT THEN SOMEONE (MAYBE WHISTLEPAW CUZ SHE HAS MEMORY MANIPULATION) WILL MAKE HER COMPLETELY FORGET ALL THAT AND ALSO MAKE HER FORGET HER CRUSH (BECAUSE WHISTLEPAW THINKS THAT ITS BETTER FOR THE CLAN THAT WAY) AND THEN SHE WILL BE KINDA ROBOTIC!!!! BUT THEN HER CRUSH GETS MEMORY MANIPULATION AND FIXES HER!!!! whew
