Suddenly, Cherrypaw froze. A horrible, long, metal rod was in the hands of a twoleg. Then, another loud bang went off and a small metal chunk came out of the end of the rod and shot through the forest. Suddenly, she got another whiff of the revolting scent. She choked and put her nose to the ground. Anything to get that scent out of her system.

Snowpaw hissed when she saw the twoleg and it's scary contraption. She heard another earsplitting bang and flattened her ears against her head, crouching in fear.

Snowpaw looked at Luckystrike in confusion and a bit of horror. "Are you sure you can't hear it? Or see it? There's a twoleg with some strange rod that is making these horrible bangs!"

Cherrypaw rocked herself back and forth on the ground. "I'm going insane," she muttered. Suddenly, every cat was transparent. She could see their bones. She whimpered and, looking for a distraction, looked down at her paws. Where were her paws? They weren't there! "Lucky?" she choked out.
