Chrysanthemum padded out of her den and sat down to wait, the strong scent of catmint clinging to her pelt. She nodded respectfully to Whisper and curled her tail around herself.

Whisper smiled at the growing crowd but still waited. The cat being promoted still hadn't arrived.
Hiddenbranch slipped out of his den and waited calmly.

Fury padded up. " Alright. Sorry to keep every cat waiting." This was his big day. He just had to look purrfect.

Glaring at Fury, Whisper mewed, "on second thought, maybe I'll start with a different announcement." She dismissed him with a flick of her tail before beckoning Hiddenbranch.
Hiddenbranch took Fury's place on the branch.
"At his request, Hiddenbranch will be demoted back to assessor. That is all for now. More announcements later."
