" No..." Hera replied, " But it's better safe than sorry.... right?"

Pandora stared at the she-cat for a moment. After an ominous moment of silence, she mewed simply, "you are dismissed."

" Yes, Pandora." Hera bowed her head. " I'm very sorry about the whole thing."

Scabs arrived back at camp to see Hera leaving the den of the ruler Pandora. He felt a compulsion to go see her and make sure she was safe, but he knew better than that. He deposited his prey in the pile. It wasn't much of a pile as more of a hill, but others would bring more. The tom with the red eyes then sat in a shadowy spot and looked up to the sky. The sky is so blue.... Why? Why can't it be just a plain expanse instead of so many colors like at sunset? he thought as he idled himself.

(time skip to night) Pandora carefully glided through the shadows towards the dens. Her bright eyes glowed in the moonlight as she crept towards 2 sleeping bodies. She nudged Scabs and then Hermes. As they began to stir, she hissed softly, "in my den," before slipping back into the darkness.

Scabs had been awaiting for her call, but he had slept anyways. He stirred and crept out once he was fully awake. Ah the dark was so welcoming. It wasn't too bright and it didn't burn his skin or hurt him with any light. Soon he was in Pandora's den. "Yes, Pandora?" he asked her.

" Very well," Hermes replied, heaving himself up. Though he was very tired, he still respected Pandora.

Scabs shook his head and meowed, "No. All seems quiet as of right now. Hermes?" He did know the tom well enough, but he didn't consider him anything, but a fellow spy.

" Ummm....." Hermes looked up at Pandora. " Well..." he didn't want to bail his sister out, but she had said some not nice things about Pandora after the alliance incident. But he just had to. " Hera said you were a moldy piece of ffff...." He choked the words out as quick as he could. " Fox Dung."

Anger flared in Pandora's eyes but her voice was calm as she said, "who was around when she said this?"

Scabs had not been present at this time Hermes spoke of. He was off in the territory scouting out neighboring territories and some of the hunting patrols. Mostly the hunting and border patrols.

Growing impatient as she waited for Hermes to answer, she mewed to Scabs, "I want you to keep an eye on Maxima. See if she is trustworthy. Also, watch Hera. Let me know if she says anything about anyone in the clan, especially high positions." She dismissed him with a flick of her tail. Once he left, she turned back to Hermes. "Well?" she mewed, annoyance edging into her voice.

Scabs dipped his head and then disappeared out of her den without much of a sound. He was used to her manner and attitude. The tom of white snow and red eyes then padded back to his nest. He was extremely careful about waking anyone. The tom was excellent at sneaking around so it was easy. Soon he was settled down again and resting once more.
