She jumped back as she was sprayed with water, grinning mischievously at the brown tom. "Hey!" she laughed, flinging a pawful of water at him.

he smiled. which was a total surprise. bear never smiled. actually, his smile widened into a grin. the tom lashed his paw in the water and brought up a shower on the she-cat again, trying to use both his paws. then, with a slight twinkle of his eyes, he fell in, sending s big splash of water flying into the air. bear let himself fall deeper into the water before he kicked out and began swimming, hoping his plan would work.

She quickly leaped into the water, swimming as fast as she could. She was nearing the tom, and she swam faster and faster until she was right next to him. She flashed him a smiled before racing ahead, playfully kicking water in his face.

rolling his eyes playfully, he dived underwater and swam below her, picking up speed so he caught up with her. an advantage that riverclan cats had during fighting was water battle. and one mighty advantage was that barracudafin was an excellent swimmer, especially when it came to underwater. the tom reached out with his front paws and grabbed at rainbowgleam's back leg, trying to pull her under the water.

Rainbowgleam allowed herself to be pulled under, sucking in a breath of air as she went. But she resurfaced quickly, grabbing at Barracudafin's tail and holding on in an attempt to slow him down.

the tom grinned and continued swimming, dragging the she-cat with him. he resurfaced for a moment to catch his breath before lunging back underwater. he curled up so he was facing the she-cat and pawed at her, attempting to loosen her grip.

She clung stubbornly to his tail, grinning.

he narrowed his eyes. so she wanted to play that game, huh? alright then. he grinned and turned back around, kicking out with his back feet and swimming up to resurface, taking his "anchor" with him. that was, unless of course she mistakenly got kicked in the face....

She allowed herself to be kicked off and sunk down into the water.

he felt relief as his tail was freed. but he then realized that the she-cat was still underwater and had not surfaced with him. searching frantically, he dived back underwater and swished around.

Quick as lightning, she zipped upward, passing right by the tom. When she reached the surface, she leaped out of the water and into the air before falling back down with a loud splash. She grinned at Barracudafin.

he grumbled and resurfaced again, though this time he swam towards the shore and pulled himself onto the bank before shaking out his soaking wet fur. he wasn't upset or anything, he was just avoiding the fact that he actually cared whether the she-cat had drowned or not.

"You ok?" she mewed, sitting beside him. Her blue eyes were full of concern and her silver fur was shining.
