sparrow's good spirit spoke from inside his head. "now's your chance!" as he saw the she-cat start that way, he lifted his head and immediately padded a step toward the she-cat. "i'll come with you." then he mentally facepalmed for sounding awkward. "i m-mean. i'll escort you." he added quickly.

"Oh" she said, turned her head to the side so that she could see him, "I- I don't know, I mean-" she paused, it wouldn't hurt to have him come would it? But what if Thunderclan though that they might be planning an attack?

"Wait!" the she-cat called, bounding to catch up with Sparrowflight. "Come, at least as far as their camp" she mewed. Her blue optics looked carefully at his facing, trying to read his expression.
