SHE HELD THE WORLD UPON A STRING _________________________________________________________________
"yeah right." she said, speeding up and whipping her tail in his face on the way. she smiled as the beech tree came within sight. their run wasn't very far, unless of course they happened to be very fast. the silver she-cat then reached the point that marked halfway, a grin plastered upon her round maw. by now, she was running her heart out, giving out all of her speed to make it to the finish.

Scarredbeech had reached the shore and sat to take a lap of the icy water before turning to watch the two apprentices race to the beech tree. It's bark was actually broken in places for it was an older tree and many cats had climbed its branches. She was named after such a tree. Her mother had seen one and named her Scarredkit. Well in her mind she had thought ahead and wanted her to be called Scarredbeech and so she had asked the leader to call her that when she reached warrior age. This was how she got her name. She personally loved it. She loved her mother for that, but she couldn't tell her that for she had passed away.

Timepaw blinked, surprised for a moment, but quickly recovered. "We'll see about that!" He called, racing forward. He too could see the beech tree, and now all he had to do was run as fast as he could. The Riverclan apprentice sped up, pushing hard against the ground, tail streaming behind him. Almost there. He was right beside his friend, pushing to get ahead.
