Kulai had soon went after the plump squirrel after Auburnfrost signal her to take it. She sneak though the grass and when the squirrel was in her sight. She pounced on it and bite down on its neck killing it. She soon return carrying it, she soon hide it where she could find it later.
Zane had watch her until she was out of his sight. When she return he smiled.

Ara quickly pinpointed a mouse, creeping slowly out from a bramble thicket. The idiotic creature had not detected the patrol yet, and so the silvery she-cat quickly went into a hunting crouching, waiting for the opportune moment to strike. As soon as the mouse had come all the way out, Ara leaped, landing on the creature's neck, which snapped with a satisfying crunch.

"Nice catch," Auburnfrost commented before turning away. Spotting a thrush, she sunk into a hunting crouch.

Zane soon notice a brush move and sneak towards it. He soon had pounced on a small bird that had died when he pounced. He smile and pick up the bird and hide it where Kulai had hid her kill.

Auburnfrost leaped forward, landing squarely on the thrush. She killed it quickly and buried it next to an oak tree.

Ara stood, taking her catch back, and covering it silently. Her blue eyes quickly swept over their surroundings, including the cats on the patrol. "Shall we move on before heading back?" She mewed simply, her words directed at Auburnfrost.

imperfectkit then brought herself to a crouch, stretching the weight between all fours this time. she drew herself across the ground, her belly fur just barely touching it. she swiftly moved, narrowing her eyes and focusing on a leaf a few lengths away. steadying herself, she repeated the pounce she'd done before, only this time she landed squarely atop the leaf, shredding it to pieces with her claws. she looked back to darksoul for a phrase, searching his face for any signs of approval. if she hadn't done it right, she would just do it again. |

For a second Darksoul was silent, watching as Imp shredded the leaf. Then he looked up, meeting her gaze with a smile. "You did very well" he mewed, "I didn't see you starting to lose balance at all." Padding over, he inspected the leaf victim, "if you landed on an enemy's back in battle, this would be an effective attack" he commented, "but for hunting, you'll be well on your way to becoming a member if you keep practicing."
(Ara, Auburnfrost, Kulai, and Zane are hunting. Darksoul and Imperfectkit are working on Imp's hunting crouch.)

Luminous padded along side her
brother on the soft grass outside
the mansion. She was going to
find some herbs, because her
stock was running low. Her brother
had decided that he was going with
her for protection.
Because Lumi was deaf.
"I 'ill be fine!"
Lumi accused her brother in her weird
accent. Just because she was deaf doesn't mean
she couldn't take care of herself!
Cauldron shook his tail in anger at his
sister. She needed protection, how else
would she know if there was another
cat following her, out of her field of
vision about to murder her!
"Nope, I'm coming with you."
Lumi realized that Cauldron was
defying her wishes and she could
make out the words "nope"
and "come with", as she studied his
muzzle carefully. She sighed in defeat.
"Okaybe." |

pride surged through the young she-cat. she'd always dreamed of becoming a member. but, she didn't think she wanted to be some ordinary cat... she wanted to be something more important. like... a medic! yes! her novice ceremony should be soon... wouldn't that give her a choice as to what she wishes to train for? "darksoul," started imperfectkit, "don't i get a decision in what rank i wish to be? members are a great start, but they're soooo boring!" then she started to grow more tense, her ambition taking her far. "besides, if i did become a member, that is a weak fighting rank." she suddenly growled. |

Darksoul thought for a moment, "is there something else in particular you are thinking?" He asked her, studying her face carefully. Maybe she wanted to be an assembly member? He really wasn't sure, but her wanting to be medic didn't even cross his mind.

Luminous started going over in her
head what she needed,
Dock, Marigold, Comfrey, Tansy...
It would be nice if I could get some
catmint, but that's obviously not
happening. Ooh, it would be nice
if I could get some Goldenrod, too!
It usually grows near the Marigold,
she started padding towards the forest.
Cauldron followed Luminous towards the
forest, glancing back every now and then. |
