saplingpaw paced anxiously in the clearing. she'd woken up extra early, hoping to be taken out for her daily training. it wasn't long before she realized that no one was going to wake up this early to take her out. but in hopes of making herself useful, she padded to the other side of camp, near a big hollow tree that had clumps of moss growing from it. she reached up and gripped claw-fulls, carrying it silently to the elder's den. not only would she change their bedding, but she would also search for ticks.

"Hello there," the Shaman Apprentice murmured, padding over to Saplingpaw. "Shall I help you with that?" she asked politely.

saplingpaw looked up as the shaman apprentice came over, smiling kindly to her. "sure." she gripped half of the moss and pulled it aside for unsolvedpaw to carry, while she carried the other half.

Unsolvedpaw grabbed the moss in her mouth and began to carry it into camp.

Saplingpaw carried her half across the clearing, heading for the elder's den. They should be happy to see fresh moss. Heck, it seemed none of the other apprentices cared about taking care of their clanmates. Sure, there was more to being a warrior then just hunting and fighting. It was called defending and caring for your clanmates; especially the kits and elders.
