The black tom stood atop the smooth boulder from which he, and the leaders before him had called gatherings. Standing up, he decided it was time. "Shadowclan, gather 'round!" He bellowed, the streaks of sun that shone through the trees reflecting on his smooth fur. He had decided it was time that he made a few promotions, ones that he had been planing for a while. Blackstar watched and waited as his clan gathered, his optics scanning camp.

daggerpaw appeared, padding over and sitting beneath the boulder. he glanced at phantompains and stormcloud before turning to look expectantly at his leader.

Lilackit quickly padded over to the leader and sat down near her sister, trembling with excitement.

And she didn't. (Bump.... if lilac was promoted this may be one of the best days ever. i won 1 first and 2 seconds in my horse show.) She waited patiently for the leader to speak again.

Blackholestar XD looked around to make sure everyone who needed to be there was present. Anyone missing could catch up later. "First of all" the tom began, "I have a few promotions to announce" he said. Turning his gaze to one cat in particular, he called their name. "Phantompains, you are a loyal warrior. You have not yet had an apprentice, but I believe your mentoring skills are good, and you have the traits needed to lead this clan. I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Shadow is Phantompains." His green and silver eyes blazed as he watched Phantompains, and Blackstar jumped down to greet him as the new deputy.
