Through the glass in my bedroom window...
Angelkit lay outside the nursery, at the foot of a tree. The white she-cat was bored out of her mind, and wanting to play. There were lots of kits to play with, like Sebastian, and some other kits that nighty didn't roleplay. Though considering the she-cat spent less of her time being incredibly social and more so keeping to herself, she grew more and more of an interest in the shaman den. Deciding to go take a look, the little kit got to her paws and bounced across the clearing. Angelkit was five moons old, nearly six, and would be soon apprenticed. She really wanted to be a medicine cat, and heal wounded cats. Battling was definitely not her thing.
Glancing from each side, she then padded inside the medicine cat's den. As she went inside, she scented the air. Dust, and a strong aroma of herb drifted into the she-cat's nostrils. She smiled. This was where she wanted to be. For some strange reason, leaves and plants smelled refreshing to the kit. Forget friends! Angel would make friends with the other medicine cats, along with StarClan cats.

Timepaw padded by, and upon seeing the two, the black and white tom paused. "Hello" the shaman apprentice mewed quietly.

Startled, the pure white she-cat jumped. She turned to see a black and white tom standing before her. "Hi." The kit murmured, her voice as soft as a cloud. She turned back to the small holes that protected the herb supply. Cautiously and silently, she sniffed them. As she came up to another hole, a very familiar scent drifted into her nostrils. One that she could identify easy, just from a memory. It was borage. She'd remembered as a newborn, the medicine cat coming into the den with pink star-shaped flowers, and it's furry leaves. How could the kit remember such a thing from such a young age? Perhaps it was a gift. A gift that StarClan offered young Angelkit.

"Are we out of any herbs?" Timepaw mewed. He might as well let Angelkit help, the clan would need a new shaman apprentice after- but no, no one could know yet.

Ann was rather surprised by the question. "Um... yeah," She said, turning back to the herb supply and rechecking them again. "Dock, Chervil, and Juniper." She mewed, confidently. How the kit knew the herb names? Well, she'd done allot of studying and researching, and as it was spoken before, the kit had a gift. The previous medicine cat would always be in the den, checking the herbs, and Angelkit would be right there, from the outside of the den, listening intently. She had some kind of power... That no one else seemed to know about.

Timepaw nodded. "Thanks" the black and white tom mewed. He didn't know an awful lot about herbs, but he knew them well enough.

"Do you even want to be a medicine cat?" The she-cat suddenly asked. She could tell that the tom wasn't very into healing, or herbs for that matter. And actually, he looked pretty beat up about something. What in StarClan could he be upset about? Being the Clan's medicine cat was an awesome job! Angelkit would die to take on that role.

Timepaw was quiet for a moment, contemplating his answer. "I want to serve my clan in any way I can, but there are other ranks I am more inclined to"" he said, choosing his words carefully. Of course he wasn't just going to straight up say 'Of course not' or 'no, I don't want to be a shaman'.

She let out a sigh, and padded over to the shaman apprentice. Taking a seat beside him, she laid her tail upon his shoulder. "Timepaw, I know something is bothering you." Though it may have seemed odd for a kit to be inquiring a much older cat, Angelkit was still five moons old, and she cared very much for her clanmates. "It's okay if you don't feel comfortable telling me, but just so you know, I'm here if you need." One day, the young she-cat would be a medicine cat, and she would give as much advice to her clanmates as she could.

Timepaw nodded. Something about her words comforted him, even if she was just a kit. "Why don't you come with me to help gather herbs" he mewed. He could see how well she was able to find and identify herbs this way. The black and white tom knew that Angelkit wanted to become a shaman, and she already knew so much.

"Okay!" She responded excitedly. The white kit turned back to the herbs and sniffed them one last time before bouncing out of the den. "Let's go!" Angelkit was excited to finally go herb gathering. She'd waited so long for such the opportunity.

Timepaw followed after her, a slight smile upon his maw. As they neared the entrance of camp, he paused. "Don't leave my sight" he mewed, knowing that if they got separated, if Angelkit got lost, just because they didn't yet have the leader didn't mean he wouldn't get in trouble.

Angel let out a sigh, turning her head to roll her eyes. "Okay, I'm not a mouse-brain, you know." She muttered. Though she was sweet-natured, her personality could vary. Negative aspects of her included possible rebellion... which could sometimes not be so good. And there was her stubbornness, or commonly known as her nature to be strong- willed. She turned to pad after him, shaking away her rebellious manner.

Timepaw nodded, continuing with a silent sigh. They were out of camp now, and he paused to looked around and debate where they should go first. "You said we were missing dock, why don't we look for that first" he suggested.
