Preemtivekit was sitting in the nursery, being bored. It wasn't fair that apprentices and warriors got to roam the territory while she was stuck in camp. The deep reddish brown kit skipped out into the territory. Though her steel blue eyes were wide open, she somehow missed the root sticking out in the middle of the path. The kitten tripped, slamming her head on a rock. When she opened her eyes, grumbling about the pain in her head, her world was transformed. Black and white skeletal trees loomed far overheard and in one oak she could see a hollow. Inside was a squirrel, feeding on a nut. The strange thing was, the opening to the hole was on the other side of the oak. She had seen straight through. She staggered about dizzily, and finally her vision returned to normal. "What the heck just happened?" the she-kit asked aloud, puzzlement and suspicion clear in her aqua gaze.

Immortalpaw was padding towards the freshkill pile, passing the nursery, when he heard Preemptivekit. He stopped and looked at her questioningly. "What are you talking about?" He asked, confused.

Sunheart saw the confused looking Preemptivekit, and padded over. "What do you mean?" He asked, frowning slightly. He had seen her bump her head, and a slightly worried expression crossed his features, "are you ok?"

"I-I think I just had x-ray vision," Preemtivekit explained weakly. "Oh, and I bumped my head on a rock," she added as an afterthought.

X-ray vision? that was an interesting power. "Does your head hurt?" He asked. The tom didn't really know much about herbs, but there was probably at least one member who could find something to sooth the kit's head.

"Just throbbing?" The tom questioned. Immortalpaw was no medicine cat, but he might have known a few good herbs to help. They were rather common and used on him many times.

The black tom nodded. "Hang on," He said, sprinting off towards the medicine cat den. He disappeared inside and came back a couple moments later carrying a poppy seed. The tom would have brought more, but since the she-kit wasn't very specific, he wasn't sure of what to bring exactly. But it was okay, because Immortalpaw wasn't a medicine cat anyways.

"It'll help" Sunheart mewed to Preemptivekit. The tabby tom leaned down a little to look closer at his younger clanmate, "is there something we can do?" He asked.

Clippedpaw happened to hear the commotion of the kit and other clan members. He padded over and tilted his head as he looked at the kit. "Got a sore head? Maybe that'll teach you to be careful. Well maybe not, "he meowed gruffly, but if you listened close you could here to concern in his voice.
