a slender ebony figure sat perched upon the lowest branch of a pine tree; a very common plant in shadowclan territory. she sat sitting tall with her tail hanging of the edge of the branch. when looking at her from behind, you may think she is perfectly content, simply enjoying the view. but if you look a bit closer, you'll find her body shaking in silent sobs. glistening tears slipped down her face, leaving her fur wet in it's wake. she felt horrible; she wasn't quite sure what she'd become. her life was crumbling into a million pieces, only supported by her sister. lil was the glue that kept her life from crumbling into a pile of dust, unable to be pieced back together. there was a part of her heart that was still whole. it was protected by hope; hope so strong that it wouldn't let anything get to it. what was she hoping for? that's a good question my friend. you see, stormcloud longed for a love. not just her sister, but someone she was romantically involved with. she wanted someone to love her for the cat on the inside, not just the image projected by her bi-polarness. and she had someone in mind.

Phantompains had been hunting. Or something. Truthfully he had set off to check the border but he'd gotten distracted by a plump squirrel. And now he was distracted from his distraction by the sound of sobs. Her peered curiously into the tree. "Stormcloud?" he asked, worry in his voice. "Are you alright? What happened?" the dark pelted tom continued, peppering the she-cat with questions.

her midnight hued ears swiveled in the direction of the voice. her heart leaped in her chest, and she shrunk down, feeling horribly embarrassed. an ever better word? mortified. stormcloud hated it when others saw her meltdowns. she especially hated that it had to be this particular clanmate who was seeing her in her worst state. she took a deep breath, forcing her voice not to shake as she spewed out a few words. "oh i'm fine, don't you worry about me. just . . . bi-polar issues," the femme then offered a nervous chucked, trying to convince him she was fine. maybe if he believes me, he'll leave me be to sort out my problems, she thought, desperately hoping he would listen.
