Lightning looked down upon Preemptivekit, amusement glittering in his eyes. "No, I'm afraid not." He thought for a second. "But, you are coming of the age to become an apprentice,"

Preemtivekit's filled with disappointment but she tried to stay calm and not throw a fuss in front of the new leader. She nodded, swallowing the lump in her throat.

Sunheart though for a moment, before deciding. "I'd like to come if that is alright with you" he said, looking up at Lightningflash.

"It most certainly is." The tom said, smiling. He turned to the kit once more. "Preemptivekit, I think this trip would be good experience for you, and a good opportunity for your future. Being that said, you are at the border of the age of a coming apprentice. Preemptivekit, from now on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Preemptivepaw." The tom let his gaze travel among the gathered cats, and rest upon Sunheart. "Sunheart, I believe you are ready for an apprentice. You will be mentor to Preemptivepaw." Thoughts whirled in Lightning's mind, and he prayed to StarClan that he'd made the right decision, overall, of turning the young kit into an apprentice.
[i know i should of discussed it first, but i just thought it would work.

Sunheart looked over at Preemptivekit, now Preemptivepaw. It seemed like a quick decision, but he was ok with it.

the tom casual slunk up, his face blank and emotionless. preemptivekit's question pretty much described what he was thinking, so her just watched.

Lightingflash smiled. Though he was very hesitant on the decision, he was also very sure it was the right thing to do. "Well then, I have two cats coming. Anyone else who wish to come?"
(i really wish marvy was active again. i had shipped off flashyafternoon and now she is inactive. who shall be the medicine cat now?)

I'll just time-skip.
Lightningstar entered into camp with his moonstone patrol. His gaze was distant. The red tom bounded across the camp to the highrock and leapt up for his usual assembly. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here beneath the Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Jade, because she was too young, leaped onto a nearby rock and watched from a distance. The young cougar was her brother Radio's best (and only) friend, so naturally she looked around for him. Meh, she thought. He's probably off somewhere being anti-social. She also liked her sister Ashura, but didn't see her either.

Sunheart entered camp, walking quickly after their new leader, sitting in front of high rock to listen. He glanced around for Preemptive paw, and upon spotting his apprentice, looked back up at Lightningstar.
