The monarch of the Darkhearts stood at the top of the mansion steps. "All members of the Darkhearts, gather!" He called, his voice booming out over the area. Any members who missed the meeting would have to be filled in on the important news. "I've been thinking about each of your performances, and have decided that I will choose a lieutenant" he announced.

Darksoul looked around at the gathered members of the Darkhearts. Their group was slowly moving forward. progressing inch by inch, but still progressing. "Auburnfrost, you have proved that you are a loyal and valuable member" he started, looking the assembly member in the eye. "You are promoted to the position of lieutenant, congradulations."

Auburnfrost dipped her head calmly, though her stomach doing summersaults. "I won't let you down," she murmured simply, pride shining in her mismatched eyes.

"Good" Darksoul mewed, quieter than he spoke a moment ago, as he was talking directly to Auburnfrost. He then stood up straight, eyes sweeping over the gathered Darkhearts. "Auburnfrost is now your lieutenant! Respect her as you respect me, and listen to her every command." |

Wow. So this was what power felt like. Pride swept over the she-cat as she stood, looking about at the Darkhearts she would now help rule.

Angryconscience listened to the announcement and felt a hot flash of jealousy seer his stomach. His ambition was to rise in rank, but it seemed he was behind. Still he felt a little happy at knowing Auburnfrost was well fit for the position.
