the first rays of sunlight payed across the stacks of hey as a brown tom yawned and sat up, listening to all the farm animals rustle about in the early morning light. he breathed in the musky dust filled air and lookjed around in the place he called home. he faintly heard a peach one singing in the back round ''somewerer, over the rainbow...way up highhhhhhhh!'' he sighed. that was what had most likely woken him up in the first place. stupid useless singing.

(Ooh! They should be on the set for 'The Wizard of Oz')
The pretty she-cat had been up for a while, so the Two-leg singing didn't bother her. Besides, the Two-Legs came to the farm a little while ago with thier big shiny monstors. Every night They went back into their monstors but never left. She had managed to keep out of sight for a while, but she was running out of new plaes to hide. I'll have to move soon. Again, she thought sadly. She had grown quite attached to the new farm. No, she told herself. Don't get attached. It will only hurt you. Her light blue eyes matched the color of the beautiful, vast sky and fluffy white clouds above her. With her light-blonde that had white streaks, Cinder looked as if she belonged in the morning sky. She padded into a barn with a bunch of hay and farm animlas in it. Good, Cinder thought. Animals mean mice.

Cinder saw a brown tom round the corner, and decided it would be better to see who he was before attacking. She had heard of nasty rouges roaming the farm. "Hi. I'm Cinder, who're you?"

"Rouges,"she whispered. One flew at her from behind some hay.Cinder screamed and turned to fight, but the cat was muh bigger than her. Cinder ran for the giant metal monsters. "Come on Will! We can hide in there!" she shouted.
