Emeraldkit leaped out of the nursery and settled herself on the ground next to Spottedkit. "Hi," she whispered softly, making sure she didn't bother any of the other cats. She had been sleeping when Evereststar called the meeting. Her ruffled fur had a few fluffy bits of moss clinging to it. She gave it a few quick licks before turning back to the Spottedkit. "What did I miss?"

Robinkit stared at the leader, hardly believing her ears. She then quickly padded up to High Rok and whispered, "Thank you thank you thank you," to Evereststar, glowing with pride.

Lightskies took a moment to think about what Evereststar had just said. She remembered something he had mentioned in a previous ceremony, but didn't expect to be promoted to deputy, especially as he had promoted Sparrowflight. "Thank you" she mewed, dipping her head to her leader. "Will I still serve as shaman?" the white she-cat asked hoping that the answer was yes.
