The black and white tom sat just outside of camp. He looked down at his paws, shivering as a cold breeze blew over him. After the meeting he had seen his friend leaving, but he couldn't find her. He was worried, worried that she was mad at him, that he had done something wrong, and that he had ruined everything.
(rushed.)

imaginarypaw padded up and took a seat beside her friend, not saying anything. she stared at the ground, her gaze distant, as though she were thousands of miles away. she didn't know what to say really. it was probably silly the way she was acting, and she didn't know how to make him understand the way she felt.

Timepaw looked up as Imaginarypaw sat. He didn't stand, but looked at her for a moment, before looking back down at the ground. "I wish things would go back to normal" he said.

Timepaw blinked in surprise, but tried not to show it. "I miss hunting with you too" he said quietly. The black and white tom wished he knew what to say, but he didn't, so he stayed quiet.

"I wish I knew" Timepaw said, looking up into the forest. After a moment of silence, he said something unexpected. "What do you think of me?" He asked, looking back at her.

"I-" he looked away for a moment, realizing he was probably about to embarrass himself. "Well, we've been friends for a long time, and I was wondering if you think I'm an alright friend" he said, dodging around the original meaning of the question.

instantly, the silver she-cat found herself staring into timepaw's blue eyes. "of course!" she said without hesitation, a smile creeping onto her features. "you're my bestest friend! and perhaps even more than that..." as imagi trailed off, she turned to look away, hiding the blush that found itself lightly visible among her silver tabby cheeks.

Timepaw blinked, even more? He knew that he liked Imaginarypaw as more than just a friend, but there was a chance she felt the same way? His heart skipped a beat. "Would you want even more than that?" He asked, venturing onto unstable ground.

imaginarypaw froze at the question. she knew that perhaps someday she and timepaw would possibly become more than friends, but she had always dreamed of it, and not necessarily believed it to be true. but this could be her chance. though it seemed incredibly hard to find words... so she said what was in her heart. "of course i would!"

It seemed as if his heart stopped. His eyes looked right at his friend, but he couldn't tear them away.
