the apprentice den was beginning to get crowded as cats moved in and as others grew up. saplingpaw grew more and more agitated as well with such little space. it was about time for her to change dens, and a new rank. although she didn't know how it would look to others to have one without a mentor be turned into a warrior. but sap had been on patrols before, she'd spent much time with unsolvedpaw as well, though she wasn't sure if that counted or not... but still. she was coming of age. one last moon and she would be assessed, hopefully, and turned into a full-fledged warrior. so deciding to keep her complaints to herself, the cream burmese she-cat squeezed out of the entry to the apprentice den, and into the open. a breeze ruffled her fur, and fresh air flowed into her nostrils, bringing to her the distinct scent of prey. she licked her dry lips, and headed for the prey pile. plucking up the smallest kill on the pile, which was a baby hare, she padded a few tail-lengths away and settled down to eat.

Luckystrike waited patiently in the warrior den for something to happen. It was quite empty these days.

spectrumstar padded over to his friend, a smile upon his maw. "hello luckystrike. how are you?" after his words were spoken, he turned to look at saplingpaw curiously.

[may i remind you that windclan cats live in burrows within the ground.]
saplingpaw continued to eat her prey, though turned her head sarcastically to look at spectrumstar curiously back. why was he staring at her? certainly a cat eating prey wasn't that entertaining?

(oops) "Hello Spectrumstar. I'm fine, thank you. And you?" He said, smiling at his friend.

Cherrypaw leaped out of the crowded apprentice den before padding over to join her mentor. "Hi, Luckystrike! Hello, Spectrumstar," she mewed, dipping her head politely.

was sap entirely forgotten? she was still sitting here too, of course... the whole thing was supposed to be centered around her! also... nighty secretly had this thing for lucky, so sap was going to develop this hard-to-get liking thing with him saplingpaw finished her prey and pulled herself to a sitting position. she licked her face clean before padding over to join the small crew of cats. "good morning," mewed sap, as soon as she'd approached.

sap dipped her head to cherrypaw, though cast a slight glare at lucky. what was these cats problems!? they just didn't seem to like saying "hello"!
