(Museless title  .) Flame sat in the castle hall. "Regalstar?" He called. The red tom wanted to speak to the queen about Crystal. He really liked the kit, she was sweet and happy, and he had decided that he wanted to ask her about adopting her, but he was going to as Regalstar first. |

the queen happened to already be padding down the hall to her chambers, though automatically summoned by the head knight's voice. as she approached, she dipped her head to him and gestured with her tail for him to follow her into her chambers. she continued the last bit of the way to the doors of her room, and pushed them open before padding inside. there, she made herself comfortable in her mossy nest. she nodded to a soft spot in front of her.

Dipping his head respectfully to Regalstar, the head knight followed her in. As he entered the room he quickly sorted through his thoughts so he knew what to say. He sat down, "I was wanting to ask you" he began, shifting slightly. "Crystal is young, and she doesn't have a parent to look after her" his flecked eyes now looked at Regalstar "if it's alright with you and her, and I'd like to adopt her."

almost immediately, regalstar was looking stunned. she shifted to a sitting position, awkwardly. "well this is awkward," she said, not knowing how to say it. "but i was looking to adopt crystal."

Flame's tail flicked back in forth, showing his awkward feeling. Now what? He thought, looking off to the side. "I mean, I don't have to.." he said quietly.

she thought for a moment, trying to decide what the best thing to do would be. "we could both adopt her, if you and her are okay with it." she suggested.

Flame was slightly surprised at this suggestion. However, after giving a moment's thought, the tom nodded. "I will ask her then" he said. Standing up, the knight looked at Regalstar, not sure if there was anything else she wanted to say.

nighty grinned at the suspense she had created. "you are dismissed." regalstar had to think over what she was going to say before she decided to say it.

Suddenly Liara had an idea of what Nighty was not say. The knight nodded, and turned, exiting the queen's chambers.
