Luna decided to wait here. The tom might end up doubling back, and there was no way she could catch him NOW.

well luna sure was smart. the brownish gray tom ran until he was far enough that they couldn't see him, and made a u-turn. even though the castle was on an island, it also had an emergency exit. that's where he was headed. he ran along the edge of the grassy territory until he finally made it to the back of the castle. there was another bridge there similar to the one in the front. he darted across it, keeping his eyes on the door. to the side he went, and halted in a corner, panting heavily. now he would wait.

Crystal sprinted along behind him, running incredibly fast for someone of her age and size.

mackerel looked up as he saw crystal running after him. he let out a frustrated sigh. if crystal was following him, then that meant flame was too. however the tom didn't know that flame was inactive on this thread currently.
