the feline was out walking in to territory, a smile laced upon her face. her bright green eyes were bright as she looked forward to her day of exploring. she was walking along, far enough away from camp. she let out a yelp as the ground collapsed under her. she landed on something soft, and very very angry. the creature let out a angry scream, and poor October, scared to death bolted out to see what she stepped in. her heart dropped when she realized, it was a badger set. she let out a whimper as it came out after her, snarlinbg and spitting. she hissed and clawed at it, but her small claws only left a small mark in its face. al lthat did was make it more angry. it lifted a huge paw and brought it down on her back, and her bright green eyes blurred. they were usually so lively and bright, but the lights slipped away as she feline was lost forever.

Luna screeched when she saw the body, and screamed louder when she saw the badger. She ran back to camp, yelling "There's a badger and Octoberpaw's dead!" She sat down and started to shiver.

it ywoeld at her and bored, turned around to go back into its damaged set. dang whipper snappers.

DEAD? YAY OMG YAY YAY YAY serves her right. mackerel thought silently, masking his pleasure. he did a pretty good job at it too. the tom, arrogantly, turned and padded away. he wasn't very linked to the she-cat, so he didn't really care that she'd died.

Flame hurried to the scene. He stopped short at the site of Octoberpaw, and after he moment he detected Mackerel retreating. Utterly unhelpful. His lip lifted in disgust at the other tom, but the expression quickly left his face as he hurried forward toward Luna and the body of Octoberpaw. Holding a paw gently against his dead clanmate's chest, he checked for a pulse. Please don't let her be- "dead" he confirmed sadly. Octoberpaw had been young, and relatively new to the Monarchy. "I'll take her body back to camp" he said to Luna, ducking under the dead apprentice to slide her onto his back. "We need to tell Regalstar."

She nodded sadly. "I'll go." she said, and ran off to tell the queen.

regalstar was already padding up, a sad expression on her face. she hated death. especially death of her clanmates. and especially those of young ones.
