The new deputy trotted forwards happily, positioning herself in the center of camp. Her silver tabby fur gleamed in the morning light and her blue eyes were cheerful. "Patrols!" Rainbowgleam called. |

Rosepaw padded up to her mentor and grinned. "You can't go on patrol without me!" She joked lightly, smiling at her mentor.

Rainbowgleam smiled. She looked around for Barracudafin. Realizing what she was doing, she stopped herself and shuffled her paws awkwardly. "At least 3 more cats. Then we'll go," she mewed to her apprentice.

"I'll come" Timepaw said, padding up. The black and white apprentice stopped, flicking his tail slightly as he waited. He felt slightly awkward going, but oh well.

(so he growled at rosie  ) Rainbowgleam nodded politely. "Thank you," she mewed. Deciding not to wait around for another cat, she mewed, "let's go." She slipped out of the entrance and led her patrol towards the river. |

She stopped at the edge of the water, and mewed distractedly, "hunt anywhere you want, but stay in this area." Her eyes never left the water. Something about the beautiful, calm blue was entrancing. Her paw darted out, a blur of speedy silver, and a few seconds later, a small trout lay dead beside her. Ripples drifted across the water and she smiled faintly, breathing in the sweet smell of the forest and listening to the gentle roar of the water. She closed her eyes and picked up a few splashes as fish leaped into the air and dropped back into the river. She could hear the breaths of her clanmates, the gentle swish as the breeze brushed the grass. Her breathing slowed as she calmed, as the nature around her soothed her, lulling her to sleep. She opened her eyes to keep herself from drifting off and looked back into the water, the bright blue of her eyes matching that of the waves.
