The small, black she-cat padded through the dry forest in search of a better home. Her flank was tattooed by a small, pink scar she had carried with her for three moons. Her observant, forest-green eyes observed the dry grass with a hint of disgust. If she were to grow powerful, she would need a good place to live. And allies. This land, sh had heard, was full of cats.

A young black she cat slid into the area, her eyes widening at the two cats. She started to slink back into the shadows but stopped herself. Maybe it was time to stop living her lonely life and meet some cats. Time to stop grieving for her dead brother. She stepped forward silently, not saying a thing.

She considered her, and thought. She could leave her name behind now. Restart. "I'm... Stardust," she said. Her name reflected the specks of gold in her eyes, and the small white dots on her pelt.

A small, black and silver tabby zipped over, hiding behind a bush. She was young, probably 3 or 4 moons. She peered around the bush and looked at the cats.
