"let's see how well you remember what you've learned." lightningstar waited by the medicine cat den. this would be the final stage for the medicine cat contest and soon he would be choosing who would be thunderclan's medicine cat. it was a hard decision, but flashy was pretty sure he would make the right choice. |

Melody trotted over, smiling calmly, though nervousness attempted to push its way through her curtain of relaxation. She blocked it and dipped her head to the leader.

lightning almost decided to wait for lightskies, because he had not much herb knowledge, and the important ones were not the basics. he thought about asking immortalpaw, but he knew the tom had only basic training as well. he would have to wait for lightskies. he frowned. he wanted to do this part on his own.

lightningstar nodded to the cats who had arrived. he padded over to lightskies and dipped his head to her. "i was hoping you could help me out with some herbs and their uses, since i do not know much about herbs. i want to test them on their knowledge and see if they remember the most important ones, and how quickly they pick up on it." he whispered to the skyclan she-cat.

The deputy of Skyclan nodded. "I suggest you test them on borage, durdock, marigold, catmint, and chervil at least" she said quietly, so that only the deputy could hear. She was about to say she could nod if they were right, but the leader could have other ideas. "If you want I can nod to tell you if they get the question right."
(Sorry, I was posting this but got distracted, and then had to press cider for three or four hours.)

Melody nodded, going over the herbs in her head. Crap. She was forgetting something. Oh well. She would remember it soon enough. She took a deep breath. Oh, now she remembered what chervil looked like! She stifled a laugh.
