Dovekit pawed through more dead herbs and neatly organized the fresh ones into a pile.

Melody looked to Dovekit. "I'm gonna go get some more herbs," she chirped, bouncing out of the medicine den. "Lightningstar, can I go gather some more herbs? Most of the ones we have are dead."

Her level of enthusiasm dropped slightly. So being medicine cat apprentice still meant you had to take a warrior when you go out of camp. Ok. "Any warriors wanna come with me to gather herbs?" she called. She realized that not every cat found that as exciting as she did. So she might be stuck in camp for now.

well it didn't necessarily mean she had to take a warrior when she went out of camp every time, it was just something lightningstar felt was important this time because she was still young even though she was six moons. but still, they had no mentor yet and would need accompanying. "i do!" immortalpaw shouted as he ran forward. the tom totally missed the part about being a warrior. perhaps he would be counted anyways for being older and more experienced?

the leader nodded with a small smile. he trusted immortalpaw. the tom was older and yes, more experienced, and so far he hadn't gotten into trouble or had a record of anything out of the ordinary. morty would be a good candidate to go out of camp with.

Lightskies padded over, totally late and pretty much having missed the thread. However she was there, and she smiled, a look of pride in her eyes as she looked at the two new shaman apprentices, already beginning their duties. She turned to Lightningstar, "I think they will work well together" she pretty deputy said, glancing back at the trio who were now going to gather herbs. "Choosing both of them was a good idea."
