lightningstar leaped onto the smooth surface of the high rock, his orange pelt glowing like perfectly lit flames in the afternoon sun. "let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather beneath the high rock for a clan meeting!" his yowl rung throughout the camp. thunderclan was very inactive lately, and lightning was determined to do something about it. |

Dovekit sighed. She was still a kit but was almost apprentice age. She peeked out of the nursery to watch the announcement.

lightningstar waited for more cats to arrive. he was getting to the point where he would start acting like evereststar, and begin yelling at his clan. but then again, he didn't know for sure that the grouchy leader yelled at his clan. perhaps changing into his lion body would make things more easier? hmm. that was an idea. but he would give his clanmates a chance first before he did anything frightening.

the leader decided he was waiting too long. besides, perhaps this announcement would draw more cats. "thunderclan, as it is known, the half-moon is approaching and the medicine cats will be traveling to the moonstone. it has came to my attention many times, that we are currently in need of one. so there will be a contest, for all cats in the clan who may have hopes of becoming a medicine cat." lightningstar said, letting the words sink in his clanmates' heads before he continued.
