considering these cats were so impatient, nighty would continue dragging it on. she would take especially long. lightning turned to lightskies and started talking silently to her. "since i'm not a shaman, i'm not really sure what the herb types are and such, but i was hoping you could help me with that. i want to test them today on how well they do with herbs and if they can at least remember some information on them."

She nodded, her sky blue eyes momentarily looking over the two kits before back at Lightningstar. Her roleplayer decided to help drag this on as long as she could. "I can find out what they already know, as well as tell them about some of the neccessary herbs and see if they can remember" she said.

the tom then waited for lightskies to take over. his roleplayer wasn't sure if he should tell the kits that she was taking over or not.

She nodded. "I am guessing the herb stores are empty?" She asked, looking toward what she assumed was the medicine cat den.

the leader looked over at the medicine cat den and then kind of frowned. "yeah. somewhat. i had one of the apprentices go and clean it out. i don't know if he went and found a few herbs or not though. he has basic training from our past medicine cat's few training sessions." he added in case she wondered why he would assume the tom would search for herbs. immortalpaw had always been handy with herbs, but that wasn't the path set out for him. he was basically just a help like brightheart was to jayfeather in the warrior series

"Alright, Melody, Dovekit, follow me" she motioned for the two to come with her as she padded toward the medicine den.

Dovekit followed eagerly, ready to learn although nervous. Being a medicine cat had always been her dream and now she was going to get the chance to prove herself. Dovekit just hoped she wouldn't fail.

Melody took a deep breath and followed Lightskies, carefully placing one paw in front if the other as her head swirled with names of herbs and their uses.

Ducking into the den, Lightskies examined it carefully. She could see where herbs would have been stored, however only a few drying herbs were there, possibly the ones collected by Immortalpaw. Now she turned to the two kits, "Alright, so we will be starting with seeing what you two already now, and teaching you basic herbs and their uses" she said. There were several ways to do this she knew, but to pick the right one. "Lets see, I'll ask you each a question in turn, and if you can't answer it, the other gets a chance." She looked at Melody first, "What is the use of honey?" She asked.
