lightningstar padded out of his den and down the rockfall. onto the high rock he jumped and looked down into the camp. "ALL MEDICINE CAT CONTEST PARTICIPANTS COME OUT OF YOUR DENS. THE TEST IS ABOUT TO BEGIN." he yowled. then, as if he were expecting someone, his amber gaze swiftly flickered over to the entrance, and back. |

Melody immediately sprinted out of the nursery and sat directly in front of the high rock, staring eagerly up at the leader. It had finally come. The moment she had been waiting for.

A white she-cat slipped through the entrance of the camp. Her sky blue eyes moved about. She hadn't been to Thunderclan's camp before, so it was rather unfamiliar. A strong scent washed over her, overwhelming her senses, well it didn't make sense that their scent was pretty strong, she was in their camp. She moved forward carefully and quietly, he long fur well groomed, but a little fluffed up from nervousness. She knew she should act more confident, being deputy and all, but she wasn't really sure what to expect. Seeing their leader standing on her rock, so turned to him, still over a couple fox lengths from the entrance of camp, and dipped her head respectfully. Did he know she was coming? Surely Starclan had spoken to him as well, to warn him that she would be here. "Lightningstar" she mewed before raising her head. "I do hope you were informed about my coming here."

Melody looked over to the she-cat curiously. Who was she and why was she here? The air around her was tainted with a strange scent. The leopard cub had never been out of camp, so she didn't know what the scent was. Another clan, perhaps? Then she remembered. Before she joined ThunderClan, she passed by another territory that was bathed in this same scent. Arranging the territories in her mind, she realized it was SkyClan. Could the pretty white she-cat be the SkyClan shaman? It would make sense, if she was to train them. No, it was the deputy! She remembered that the deputy had been the shaman previously, so THAT must be why she was here. And just like that, Melody knew her name too. Lightskies. Melody padded over to the deputy and dipped her head. "Hello, Lightskies. I am Melody," she mewed politely.

a friendly smile appeared on the leader's face as he stepped down from the rock to pad over to the she-cat. "welcome to our camp, lightskies. i was informed that i would be visited by a shaman but i had no idea who it would be."

She smiled a little at the cub, and wondered how she knew her name. "Hello" she said. Then the deputy looked up at their leader again, she decided not to mention that she was technically Skyclan's deputy. "Thank you" She said, glad that her presence was not unexpected, and padded forward to sit down, slightly off to the side, as Lightningstar would be addressing the two Thunderclanners.

flashy(yes i'm still calling him that) simply nodded to the she-cat and then turned to the two kits. "glad you could make it out here. that shows your desire and willingness to become a medicine cat. something that i will be testing you on separately, though mostly shown today. lightskies, the skyclan shaman will be here with us for the contest and will also be testing you. so you should do your best, because when it comes down to who becomes the medicine cat, we will be the ones to decide."

As Lightningstar spoke, Melody's blue gaze kept shifting from him over to Lightskies then back again. She had never met a shaman. And even if Lightskies was technically a deputy now, she was still a big deal.
