Rainbowgleam crawled out of the warriors den yawning, stretching each leg in turn. Her silver fur was shining as her blue gaze slid sleepily over the camp. It was empty. If only there was someone to talk to...

Watching from the shadows, Minnowpine stayed hidden from Rainbowgleams sight. She was always thought of as mysterious, for her pitch black fur made her hide in darkness easily.

Rainbowgleam opened her mouth and breathed in the scent of the camp. Many scents tangled together, but one stood out to her. Minnowpine. She realized that the warrior probably wanted to be alone. "I'm going out hunting, " she whispered, " if anyone happens to be awake." She stepped slowly toward the camp entrance.

Minnowpine's ice blue eyes fallowed Rainbowgleam out of the warrior den. But then Minnowpine felt like hunting. She heaved herself up a slipped out of the warrior den.

Rainbowgleam turned around to face Minnowpine and smiled. She padded away, then stopped at the camp entrance, waiting, an expectant look in her icy blue eyes.

Minnowpine fallowed. Since no cat ever talked to her, she was very good at reading cats expressions. And she was happy that some cat was finally treating her as a clanmate.

Rainbowgleam led Minnowpine through the trees and stopped her at a stream. She paused for a moment before darting her paw out. A minnow flopped on the ground and she killed it swiftly.

Minnowpine smiled at Rainbowgleams great catch. She soon spotted a trout lazily swimming down the stream. It was an easy catch. " Do you want to continue fishing here, Rainbowgleam? Or shall we move on somewhere else?"

No matter where they went, she was just happy to be hunting with her friend. It was just like their days as apprentices. (thrushy is it ok if they're old friends?) |
